Climate of Jaldapara National Park :The sanctuary enjoys a subtropical climate. During winter (November to February), the mercury dips to 5°C (41°F) while the hot and humid summer heat (lasting from April to June) soars to 38°C (100°F). The rainy season spans July to September; during the southwest monsoon, the wettest months are July and August. When to go (Jaldapara National Park) : Jaldapara is best visited between November and March.
Getting to Jaldapara National Park :Madarihat is the gateway to Jaldapara. One can hire a car from Siliguri to drive to the sanctuary. Tourists taking a bus from Siliguri need to disembark at Madarihat.
Facilities at Jaldapara National Park : Accommodation is available at Madarihat Tourist Lodge, Hollong Rest House in the Hollong forest range, Baradabri Forest Rest House and Youth Hostel - all on the outskirts of Madarihat. Rest houses are self-catering; no cooking facilities provided.
Wildlife in Jaldapara National Park : Indian Elephant, Great Indian One-horned Rhino, Indian Bison and deer species..
